8 basic yoga poses I like to practice every day 🇧🇷

I’ve been practicing yoga (almost) every day for a year and these are my go to poses.

Cat & Cow

Inhale in Cow and exhale in Cat.

Do this for at least 5 deep breaths.

Thread the needle

Twist on both sides and hold it for at least 5 breaths.

Downdog

Keep your back straight and if needed bend your knees. Hold for 5 breaths.

Plank

Shoulders over wrists, engage your core and push through your shoulders. Hold as long as you can and breaaaathe.

Malasana

Awesome hip openers and also good for digestion. Hold it for 5 breaths.

Uttanasana

Really good for the lower back and to gently wake up the hamstrings. You can sway on the sides. Remember to relax your neck.

Child’s pose

And to finish, child’s pose!

Some days I go straight to it 🤫😄 Just relax and breathe.

As you can see, nothing fancy 🙃 and it can be done in less than 5min.

These are only basic poses to wake up my body gently and to take a moment only for me and myself 🥰

You can hold the poses as long as you want. I usually recommend 5 deep breaths but if you do fewer that’s ok too.

⚠️ As always, listen to your body. If you feel any discomfort, it’s ok but you should NOT feel any pain.
