Update on my pregnancy: 40 weeks

Today is my due date and yep I’m still pregnant 😭

I’m having more and more fake contractions and it’s tiring and nerve-wracking 😫

4 days ago we even went to the hospital because I thought that was it. But as soon as we got in the car, the contractions stopped and I knew it was a false alarm. The doctor on call checked me and I’m completely closed. Not even 1cm dilated. Nothing 😒

At this point, I feel like I’ll stay pregnant for the rest of my life 😂

My stretch marks around my belly button are itching so much and they’ve become purple/red.

Last night I woke up 3 or 4 times to pee.

On my last appointment (March 16), the doctor said I’ll probably get a c-cut because the baby is big and I’m small. But I think it’s more that the baby is normal and I’m the one that’s too small to carry a baby until full term.

I’m weighing 61kg which is 4kg less than my pregnancy with Ellie. So even though I was more prepared physically, thanks to yoga, I wasn’t able to prevent the stretch marks and potentially a second c-cut.

Let’s see if I’ll go on labour on my own today, otherwise I’ll have to go to the hospital and they’ll tell me how to proceed for delivery.

I’m feeling disappointed but at the same time I’m feeling kinda relieved that these are my final days or maybe even hours of being pregnant.

Once she’ll be born, it will be a different kind of trouble 😄
