I had decided that I wanted to live in another country. At that time, my focus was on the US. But before making the move there, I wanted to have traveled in 25 countries before the end of my 25th birthday.
Back in June, when I started my trip in Asia, I thought I wanted the digital nomad lifestyle: working online and traveling at the same time.
This last week has been one of the most stressful weeks since Davidson and I started to travel in Asia.
I had a nervous breakdown today. I cried on the phone while talking to a girlfriend about our experience here in Myanmar. And it turns out that it’s not what Davidson and I were expecting.
We arrived in Ngapali on October 16th. It took me some time to adapt myself to the new environment but I think now it’s getting better and better 🙂 For this blog post, I’m gonna breakdown our daily expenses from October 24th to October 30th. We’re not paying any rent because we work in a hostel in exchange for free accommodation 🙂
After 2 months working at the reception at Sim CityStay in Penang, we got an opportunity to work in 2 hostels in Ngapali as supervisors. Here’s the detail of our trip on October 15th 2016.
On October 15supth/sup, we left Penang to go to Yangon. It was an unexpected trip since we were planning to stay in Malaysia until the end of our 3-month visa (November 7supth/sup).
We arrived in Chiang Mai on June 19supth/sup, after spending 3 days in Bangkok. And the only thing I wanted to absolutely do in Chiang Mai was to go to an elephant park.
Davidson and I were having our breakfast at Adan World Hostel as usual.
We spent the entire afternoon at the genocide museum. Almost 3 hours listening to horrible stories 🙁 Then we went back to our Couchsurf host’s place.
