Here’s how much we spent in Penang on September 2016
We were supposed to leave Malaysia on September 6th and catch a flight to go to Bali. But we decided to extend our stay here until the end of our 3-month visa.
Here’s how much we spent from September 1st to September 30th (30 days):
Accommodation
Only 155MYR (39€) for the night spent in Hotel Sentral view.
In Penang, we worked part-time in a hostel in exchange for free accommodation.
Coworking space

Food & drinks
We ate mostly street food and spent 1,054MYR (424€).

Leisure
We trekked for 1h20 to get to Monkey Beach (free!) and then we went back by boat for 50MYR. Normally the average price is 40MYR per boat. We got screwed! lol
We spent one evening at Kim Haus for a live show. Entrance fee: 5MYR per person

Transportation
We used Grab app and the bus for the first time in Penang.
Grab car: 38MYR (9.50€), we used it 3 times.
Bus: 18MYR (4.50€), we used it 4 times.

Miscellaneous
Laundry: 26MYR (6.50€), this is the price for 2 bags, wash+dry+iron.
Sim card: 42MYR (10.50€)
Post office: 33.60MYR (8.40€), we sent a 500g package to Brazil with tracking record.
