Don’t say “no” before even trying

I remember the first time I saw people doing #compasspose on IG, I was like, “Hoooow are they able to put that leg in this position?” and, “How is this even possible?” 🤔

Yet here I am.

And it actually feels great 🥰

I never wanted to achieve this one until I commented on a post of someone doing it.

I don’t remember exactly what I said but it was something like “Wow so impressive! I can’t do this” and she only replied, “Practice.”

I don’t know why but I felt challenged — and a bit hurt, to be honest 😂

So, I decided to work towards it without any expectations of achieving it because I really thought it was impossible for me.

But regardless of what I thought, I practiced and practiced and practiced…

Until one day I felt like I could do it. I tried for about 30min and there I was, holding my first compass pose.

This story is just a reminder for me and maybe for you to NOT say no before even trying.

Take that first step towards that dream/goal/asana and trust in your journey.

Maybe you’ll get there or maybe you won’t and you’ll end up somewhere you’d never thought possible.

The thing is you’ll never know until you try.
