Home is not a place. It’s a feeling

I have one dream that I haven’t fulfilled yet. That dream is to live abroad.

These past three years, I’ve been so caught up on wanting to leave France, that I wasn’t feeling any gratitude for what I already had, like a place to stay and food every day. All I had in mind was to leave France as fast as I could.

But how could I fulfill my dream if I didn’t feel any gratitude for what I already had?

My perspective changed when I realized that, more than anything, what I want is not to live abroad but to feel at home.

So abroad or not abroad, as long as I keep focusing on this feeling that I am home, I know that I’ve fulfilled my dream.
